Last weekend I had the chance and honour to meet with the Austrian Ambassador to China, Andreas Riecken, during a joint event of the Austrian Cultural Forum and the Embassy. We talked about the experiences I’ve gathered since my arrival Beijing as well as the Winter Olympics. Aside from him I also and in particular want to thank the Austrian General Consul, Nikolai Herold, who has been of great help and a humanly support during my prolonged quarantine of three months that I had to undergo, after arriving in Beijing in October last year until being finally released mid of January 2022.
The event that took place at the Austrian embassy entitled “Winterwonderland” took place on 4th and 11th of February. It was well visited by the German speaking expat community and thus came with interesting people and talking points.
